A major player in various value chains in Agriculture, has been creating linkages between producers and consumers to ensure all players reap the dividends of synergy, whilst conserving biodiversity and promoting sustainable livelihoods.

The company adopted an ambitious expansion strategy that led to the opening of satellite offices in Ghana and Cote d’Ivoire.

A sizeable client base in West Africa creates the need to hire a business administrator, specifically tasked to manage operations, develop business, increase profitability, and further to ensure that the company is able to hire and retain the best talent.

The position holder will also be tasked with recommending to the Board of Directors avenues through which the company can attain greater visibility in the Francophone West Africa Ghana, Liberia, and Nigeria.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

1. Creating brand visibility and protecting company image,

2. Implementing customer service strategy together with key account managers,

3. Achieving high-level customer satisfaction,

4. Quick turnaround in complaint handling and reduced complaints,

5. 90% client retention; 20% growth year on year,

6. Quality management in line with standard operating procedures,

7. Retention of best performing talent.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

 Bearing the highest responsibility for certification decisions in Cote d’Ivoire & Ghana,

 Managing regional staff,

 Ensuring timely issuance of certificates and maintaining active correspondence with clients,

 Managing the audit calendar in conjunction with the Certification Officer,

 Performing technical oversight roles including: contracts and sublicense agreements management, client register management and monitoring timeliness of submission of reports,

 Taking a lead role in marketing and business development,

 Ensuring strict adherence to the Quality Manual, internal standard operating procedures, statutory and legal requirements,

 Leading the planning process for external audits,

 Preparing annual budgets, submitting monthly management accounts and annual final accounts to the CFO,

 Assist the regional office in debt collection and credit management,

 Ensuring operations are in strict compliance with the Financial and HR policy,

 Conducting performance appraisals for regional staff,

 Keeping tabs on the competition, and collecting timely intelligence.


Minimum Requirements for the Job

 A bachelor’s degree in business management/administration, sales and marketing or related field,

 Membership in a relevant professional association.

 At least 7 years post-qualification experience in a similar role; preferably in the service industry; at least 5 years of service under one employer.

 Great communicator with the ability to be completely straight and clear; even black and white when called for. S/he should have great interpersonal skills.

 Previous experience in formulating and executing strategies,

 Practical experience in budgeting and monitoring,

 Attentive to detail and confident with IT.

 Target driven and dynamic,

 Fluency in written and spoken English & French languages.
